    FAQ

    Clear answers before you apply.

Which engineering track should I start with?

Most beginners start with Full-Stack Web Development or Frontend Development. Career changers targeting AI roles often choose Enterprise AI Software Engineering or AI Automation & Agentic Systems. Operations-minded learners align with DevOps Engineering or Foundational Cloud Engineering. Book a guidance call if you want a personalized recommendation.

    When do summer cohorts start?

The first summer intake begins July 1, 2026. You can apply at any time — we add you to the next available cohort for your track.

    How does Signal Score work?

Signal Score starts at zero for every learner. It updates only after you enroll and complete labs, lessons, and standups — combining code quality, debugging speed, AI collaboration, completion rate, peer reviews, Git hygiene, and communication into recruiter-safe evidence.

    Are sessions live?

Yes. Cohorts include standups inside Tedlab Academy with mentor support, accountability, screen sharing when needed, and recordings you can watch anytime.

    What are the prerequisites?

Basic computer literacy and a reliable internet connection. Beginner tracks assume no prior coding experience. Intermediate and advanced tracks require foundational programming knowledge.

How much time should I commit per week?

Expect 15-25 hours per week depending on your track and pace. This includes standups (2-4 hours), self-paced labs, and project work.

What happens if I fall behind?

The platform detects inactivity and stuck signals, then escalates to mentors so you get human help before you disappear.

Do recruiters really hire from Tedlab Academy?

Recruiters use anonymous profiles, portfolio timelines, and Signal Score filters on Tedlab Academy to identify candidates with practical engineering ability. Contact details require your approval via identity reveal requests.

    Is AI replacing mentors?

No. AI handles instant code review and debugging feedback. Human mentors handle judgment, escalation, accountability, and career context.

    How does one-time payment work?

Every course runs 6 or 9 months — not a full year. Pay monthly as you learn, or pay the full program upfront in USD. Nine-month tracks receive a 10% discount on one-time payment; six-month tracks are full price at checkout.

    How does Hired-to-Pay work?

Approved learners can apply for an outcome-aligned model where payment is deferred until after they are hired.

Do I keep access after completing a course?

Yes. Graduates retain access to course materials, session recordings, and their Signal Score profile. Your recruiter visibility continues as long as your account is active.
