Terms of Service
Last updated: May 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of websites, applications, and services offered by TEDLAB ACADEMY ("TEDLAB," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
2. The Services
TEDLAB ACADEMY provides online engineering education, mentorship, assessments, AI assisted feedback, sandbox environments, replay or evidence features, and—where offered—recruiter-facing tools. Features may vary by cohort, plan, or region. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Acceptable use
- Submit your own original work for graded work unless an assignment explicitly permits collaboration; follow academic integrity and cohort rules.
- Do not use the Services for unlawful, harmful, harassing, discriminatory, or deceptive activity.
- Do not probe, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to our systems, other users' accounts, or third-party infrastructure (including sandboxes and APIs) except as instructed in official coursework.
- Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute course materials, mentor content, or proprietary datasets without permission.
4. AI and automated tools
AI-generated feedback, suggestions, or scoring are assistive and may be imperfect. You remain responsible for your submissions and professional judgment. Do not rely on outputs as sole authority for safety-critical or regulated decisions.
5. Intellectual property
TEDLAB ACADEMY and its licensors retain rights in the platform, curriculum, branding, and related materials. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal learning or internal business use as applicable. You retain rights in content you create; you grant us a license to host, process, and display your content as needed to operate the Services.
6. Recruiters
If you access recruiter tools, you agree to use candidate information solely for lawful hiring purposes, comply with applicable employment and privacy laws, and honor any additional agreements with TEDLAB ACADEMY. Misuse may result in immediate suspension.
7. Fees and payments
Paid plans, deposits, subscriptions, or usage-based charges are governed by the order, checkout, or contract presented at purchase. Taxes may apply. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or our refund policy posted at the time of sale.
8. Third-party services
The Services may integrate authentication, cloud, analytics, conferencing, payment, or other third-party providers. Your use may be subject to their terms and privacy policies in addition to ours.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, certification, or hiring decisions by third parties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TEDLAB ACADEMY and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), except where liability cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify TEDLAB ACADEMY and its affiliates against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law, subject to our prompt notice and reasonable cooperation.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, or operational reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to TEDLAB ACADEMY's operating entity, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts or forums identified in a separate agreement with you (for example, an enterprise order form) will prevail if they conflict with this section.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where stricter consent is required by law.
