Checkpoints & Exams
Module Checkpoints
Complete module lessons, then submit a checkpoint to unlock the next module.
Module checkpoints gate progression through your course track. They appear on the course detail page after you enroll.
Where to find them
Open Courses → your track (`/courses/{slug}`). Scroll to Module checkpoints for every module milestone, or resume from Learn (`/courses/{slug}/learn`) when the syllabus points you to the next checkpoint.
Before you start
Finish all lessons in the module. The checkpoint stays locked until lesson completion is recorded.
Checkpoint formats
Coding sandbox (software engineering, DevOps, and selected cloud modules): task, starter files, and an in-browser workspace like labs. Build your solution and submit from the assessment workspace.
Question bank (most cloud/infrastructure modules, Project Management, and many SEO checkpoints): about 20 multiple-choice questions in Exam Dojo.
Hybrid tracks (cloud engineering, Solutions Engineering, SEO): some modules use sandbox, others use Exam Dojo — open each checkpoint card on your course page to see the format.
Submit to unlock
Submitting a checkpoint unlocks the next module — you do not have to pass on the first try. Passing still improves your score and may add portfolio evidence.
Retries
You can retry failed checkpoints. If an attempt is in progress, return to the same assessment page to continue.
Subscription required
Starting or submitting a checkpoint requires an active subscription or track entitlement. Without it, you can browse the syllabus but assessment actions are blocked.
